Akoustik at St. Charles is a FREE outdoor live music event right here in Vanier. It’s held at the St. Charles Market at the corner of Beechwood Avenue and St. Charles Street. We’ll see you there!

SCHOOL HOUSE
School House is a folk band from Ottawa. After moving in together, the three friends discovered that their new home was in fact a 100+ year old school house — inspiring the name.
They were recently awarded Group of the Year at Ottawa Music Awards and Album of the Year by Ottawa Faces Magazine.
Their live shows combine upbeat, catchy singalongs with nostalgic & emotive folk tunes to bring a wise, yet youthful perspective to the Canadian folk music scene. Releasing their debut album in 2023 and an Acoustic EP in 2024; the band has amassed over 200k online streams.
MIMI O’BONSAWIN
Mimi O’Bonsawin is a contemporary roots singer-songwriter from Northeastern Ontario. Through her rhythm and story-driven songs, Mimi embraces the beauty of the land, all the while yielding to her Franco-Ontarian and Abenaki roots. The ethereal quality of her music whisks you away with uplifting melodies and introspective lyrics that weave pop sensibilities with acoustic instruments. The layers of percussion and surprising harmonies make you feel the music rather than just hear it.
