Opening of the Vanier Sugar Shack

Starting February 16, 2025, the Vanier Sugar Shack welcomes visitors to enjoy traditional maple syrup experiences in Canada’s only urban sugar shack. Located in Richelieu Park, just 5 km from downtown Ottawa, the sugar shack offers a reimagined menu by Chef Julien Fournier, featuring dishes like “The Lumberjack” and “The Hiker.” Weekend visits are on a first-come, first-served basis, while weekday group reservations can be made in advance.
