Summer Sun is the Vanier BIA's annual celebration of summer, shopping local, and all things community. It's a short and sweet pop-up-style event taking place over one weekend — Saturday on Beechwood and Sunday on McArthur — featuring local business specials, free family fun, and a reason to get out and explore your neighbourhood.

Each day runs for two hours of free fun and community cheer, with activations happening directly near our participating businesses.

Expect little surprises, big smiles, and a whole lot of local love. Many of our merchants will be offering free samples, gifts with purchase, discounts, and treats — like lemonade or coffee — as their way of saying thank you for shopping local.

We'll also be joined by elected officials and community leaders who will be out and about to connect with residents. Come early and you might even score a basket of local strawberries!

Absolutely. Live music, buskers, face painting, and giveaways are all part of the fun — and it's all free! Bring your family, grab a snack, and enjoy the street-side summer vibes.
