Yesterday, Ottawa voters returned Mayor Mark Sutcliffe to City Hall for another term — alongside Councillor Stéphanie Plante (Rideau-Vanier, Ward 12) and Councillor Rawlson King (Rideau-Rockcliffe, Ward 13), the two councillors who represent Vanier’s three mainstreets.
Congratulations to all three on earning the community’s trust again.
The past four years have brought meaningful collaboration between the Vanier BIA and both wards — from mainstreet advocacy to on-the-ground project support — and we look forward to continuing that work over the next term. Our businesses, our mainstreets, and our community have real ambitions ahead, and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves alongside you.
Thank you as well to every candidate who put their name forward, and to every Vanier resident and merchant who took the time to cast a ballot. Democracy only works when we show up — and yesterday, you did.
Onward. 🗳️
