On Wednesday, August 20, the 7th edition of Partage Beechwood transformed the grounds of Beechwood National Cemetery into an enchanted midsummer night, blending fine dining, music, and community spirit in support of the Partage Vanier Food Bank.
This year’s event was truly unforgettable. 200 guests gathered beneath the trees and twinkling lights to enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience, guided by the culinary vision of Chef David Godsoe and Restaurant e18hteen. Working alongside him, Talhia McNeil of Reif Estate Winery managed the food, beverage, and service with seamless precision, while Carole Saad of Chic & Swell brought the theme to life with whimsical, enchanting table décor. Together, they created a magical experience that married flavour, elegance, and artistry.
The evening began with a musical procession led by Shawn Tavenier, filling the air with the Beatles’ timeless All You Need is Love. Guests were then surprised throughout the night by “fairies” Jessica Pearson & The East Wind, whose enchanting performances floated through the meal. Both artists will return as part of the September Akoustik lineup, continuing the celebration of music and community.
Beyond the magic, the night was about impact. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and partners, the event raised an incredible $68,000 for the Partage Vanier Food Bank — Ontario’s most utilized food bank. Since 2022, demand has risen by more than 30% each year, making this support more vital than ever.
Guests also contributed through the beloved Apple Sale, which sold out completely and ended in a spirited bid-off for the final few apples. A surprise $10,000 donation added to the excitement, helping push fundraising to new heights.
This year’s success was made possible by the leadership of the Vanier BIA, the partnership of Beechwood Cemetery and the Vanier Community Service Centre, the creativity of our culinary and design teams, and the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors.
