From sunny sidewalks to music-filled nights, this past summer in Vanier was one to remember. Together, we celebrated community, culture, and connection through a lineup of events that brought our mainstreets to life.
It all began with Summer Sun, our family-friendly kickoff to the season that invited residents and visitors alike to explore local shops and enjoy outdoor fun along Beechwood and McArthur. The music carried on with Akoustik, transforming Wednesday evenings at St. Charles Market into vibrant live performances that highlighted incredible local talent.
Then came Partage Beechwood, where food and community came together in a uniquely Vanier way — and with heart. This year’s event raised an incredible $68,000 in support of the Partage Vanier Food Bank, helping local families access essential resources heading into the colder months.
BeechFest followed, filling Beechwood Avenue with laughter, music, local vendors, and family activities that showcased the best of our businesses.
We wrapped up the season on a high note with Community Folk Fest, presented by Folk Canada at St. Charles Market on October 19 — a day filled with great music and the unmistakable Vanier spirit.
As we turn the page to a new season, there’s plenty more to look forward to. The long-awaited Vanier HUB relaunch will take place at the end of November, marking an exciting new chapter for our community space. Stay tuned for details about our Annual Holiday Giveaway and the return of Holiday Akoustik, bringing warm tunes to cold nights this December.
Vanier continues to shine — thanks to the people, businesses, and community partners who make it all possible.
