Fall is the perfect time to reinvest in your business—and thanks to new funding opportunities, doing so just got a little easier. Three programs are now available to help small businesses go digital, upgrade operations, and modernize the customer experience.
1. Digital Modernization & Adoption Plan (DMAP)
Up to $15,000 in support
This Ontario government initiative helps small businesses identify their digital gaps and create a roadmap for improvement. Through DMAP, eligible businesses are matched with a Digital Adoption Consultant who will work with you to build a customized plan that suits your specific needs.
Best suited for:
-
Ontario-based, for-profit businesses
-
Between 1–499 employees
-
Businesses looking to understand their digital needs and adopt modern tools and technology to grow
2. Technology Demonstration Program (TDP)
Up to $100,000 in support
Think of this as Step 2 of DMAP. Once your Digital Modernization & Adoption Plan is complete, the TDP provides funding to put your plan into action. It covers the cost of adopting and implementing the recommended digital technologies.
Best suited for:
-
Ontario-based, for-profit businesses
-
Between 1–499 employees
-
Annual revenue of $500K+ in one of the last three tax years
-
Businesses that have completed a DMAP project and are ready to implement their strategy
3. Retail Modernization Program Grant (RMPG)
Up to $5,000 in support
This grant helps small, consumer-facing businesses improve the in-store customer experience through digital upgrades such as software, hardware, and technology adoption. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t wait to apply.
