When Issam and his brother started running Moussa Market in 2008, the store was focused on importing Lebanese food. They still specialize in Lebanese cuisine, but since then they have increased their offering.

“With time we expanded to over all the Middle East from Turkey to Syria, to Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and some from Egypt.” Issam explained. “Many products come from Europe, especially Eastern Europe, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia, even Italy.”

If your mouth doesn’t start watering from the cheeses, chocolates, preserves and other delicacies on display, the bakery attached to the store will fix that. Za’atar and Cheese Bakery specializes in authentic Lebanese savory pies and flatbreads, baked fresh every day, with a variety of fillings.
